A Love Story In Every Bottle

It begins in Soweto, in a home that always smelled of fresh bread.

Lerato grew up there, rooted in her church and her community, the kind of person neighbours came to when they needed something done. Amos arrived from Nigeria with soil still on his hands, a farmer chasing the same thing most of us are chasing: a life worth building. What grew between them was not supposed to happen, according to the world around them. Different countries. Different everything, on paper. But Lerato and Amos never much cared what was supposed to happen — only what was true.

Amorato is what came after. "We didn't set out to make a wine," Lerato says. "We set out to hold onto something. The wine came later, when we realised the only way to explain us to other people was to give them something they could taste." Every bottle in the range carries a piece of that beginning — not a story bolted on afterward, but the actual reason any of this exists.
